About Olivia Raucci, “Liv”

She/Her, LMHC Intern

Hi! My name is Liv Raucci. I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.S.) program at the University at Albany. As a counseling intern at The Performance Sanctuary, I provide individual and group counseling services under clinical supervision. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, drawing from empirically supported practices and tailoring sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe growth occurs through connection, self-awareness, and the development of practical coping skills that can be applied beyond the therapy space.

As a former collegiate athlete, I have developed a strong passion for performance psychology and mental health. I understand firsthand the pressures of performing at a high level under stress and how a once enjoyable pursuit can quickly become a source of anxiety. This perspective drives my commitment to supporting clients through life’s challenges and helping them build the skills and confidence needed to perform effectively in high-pressure situations: both on and off the field.

Specialization in Athlete Population

I have a strong foundation in mental performance and sport psychology, supported by specialized training and hands-on experience as I work toward the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) credential. I have worked closely with collegiate teams and individual athletes, providing team workshops and one-on-one sessions. My mission is to empower athletes with the mental skills they need to perform their best, overcome setbacks, and thrive in every aspect of life.

Testimonials:

“Liv made a tremendous impact on our program this season as our mental performance coach. She connected exceptionally well with our players, earning their trust while providing clear, meaningful guidance. Her work helped our athletes build confidence and strengthen the mental side of their game, leading to noticeable growth both on and off the field. We're incredibly grateful for the impact she had on our team.”

Anonymous - 1:1 session client

“I loved the sessions with her and having someone to confide in individually and as a team was very important. As a team we were able to work through things we were struggling with without having to feel judged or scared, and individually it was good to talk through some things I was having a really hard time accepting.”
